Day of Remembrance for Newtown, Connecticut

I am one of the many baking, cooking, crafting and lifestyle blogs (a new blog) and had posts to share with you today. However, the events of Friday’s tragic shooting in Connecticut have left us with broken hearts. Like you, tears flowed as news reports flooded the airwaves and our hearts and minds searched for just how something so dreadful could hurt the most innocent and tender. Our hearts aligned as we grieved for the lives lost, the wounded and the families who lost their precious loved ones as well as the part of the holiday season that is full of magic and wonder which has been taken from us all.

Although we know that no words, no acts of service and no gifts of any value will ever take away the pain, we as bloggers want those affected by this loss to know they are in our hearts and minds.

We love you. We pray for you.

We are heartbroken over your loss.

To honor each and every life cut short, we have chosen to step away from our blogs and laptops today to celebrate the gift of life with those we love and adore most—our families, our good friends and our community.

Thank you for stopping by today. We hope you will join us in remembering, praying and gathering close. We wish you and yours a safe and blessed holiday season.
